You may have noticed around town lots of Telstra folks opening man holes, winding cable, and carrying around clipboards.  This is the first step to making Coonabarabran’s current copper cabling ready for the NBN. Telstra are testing the current network to find what needs replacing or repairing before the NBN rollout. In my chat with one of the technicians this morning he said that at the best case scenario things will be ready in 6 months, and at worse 12 months. Seems that the prediction that Coonabarabran will have NBN in 2017 is coming true.
