A painting making a statement about the possible future of the Pilliga by local artist, Allison Reynolds, has taken out second prize in the Outback Archies. The Outback Archies highlights work from the Orana Arts and Outback Arts areas and has been rapidly growing in size and popularity since it’s beginnings in 2011. Initial entrants were winnowed down to 50 works competing in the Open 2D, Sculpture, Photography, and People’s Choice awards. Winners were announced at the show’s opening on Friday night at the Coonamble Outback Arts Gallery. The work will now go on tour around country NSW until 2017.
