Coonabarabran support worker for the Department of Primary Industries, Sue Freebairn, will be one of the panelists for the “Let’s Talk About Coping With Natural Disasters” run by the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program and the Land Newspaper.
The event seeks to give individuals the tools and skills to prepare before a disaster happens and to recognise when they need help and where to go after the event. Everyone is invited to join in.
Other panelists are University of Western Sydney senior lecturer Penelope Burns, clinical psychologist and Red Cross consultant Rob Gordon and Karen Tully, Program Manager for the National Rural Women’s Coalition .
